Is X down? Users report issues loading Elon Musks social media platform
UPDATE: Mar. 10, 2025, 11:54 a.m. EDT It what has been a rollercoaster morning for X, it appeared to crash for users again, shortly before noon ET. The site and app had seemingly rebounded before once again encountering issues. User reports on Down Detector showed spikes in problems first at around 9:30 a.m. ET then again after 11 a.m. ET.
X appeared to have crashed on Monday. Elon Musk's website wouldn't load for some users in the early hours of Monday, either on desktop or mobile.
Down Detector showed a sharp spike in user-reported issues with X starting around 9:30 a.m. ET on Monday. (Full disclosure: Down Detector is owned by Ziff Davis, the same parent company as Mashable.)
I tried to load X on my computer and through the mobile app on my phone, but neither would update or bring in new posts. Folks on other sites, like Bluesky, also posted about the site being down.
X appeared to be on the rebound about an hour after the issues began being reported on Down Detector. I was able to load posts, albeit a bit slower than usual on the website starting around 10:30 a.m. ET. Reports of issues began to fall on Down Detector as well.
