War Room’s Steve Bannon on Housing Costs and High Electricity Bills Potentially Flipping Blue States to Red (VIDEO)

War Room’s Steve Bannon discussed housing costs and high electricity bills as a major reason for a potential flipping of blue states to red. He shared his thoughts with real estate broker Sophia Georges who had great insight into the situation.
“The affordability crisis in housing and the electrical bills. Why is this race a dead heat right now in New Jersey?” Bannon asked.
“Affordability in housing. I saw it coming months ago. People who are suffering. We started seeing a decrease in the qualifications for them to afford a home. I was seeing more and more people in multi-generational households. I was seeing young adults just coming out of school with great-paying jobs, but still could not afford a home,” Georges said.
“I have a modest size home and I’m paying $900 a month in utility bills, and this is becoming unsustainable for families,” Georges said of people she talked to.
“People are now starting to really pay attention and I’m seeing it here as a microcosm in my town of what is happening in the state. That is like you said, translating into the statewide polls that we are seeing now,” Georges said.
“Republicans are gonna win cause there’s gonna come down to affordability on housing and the electrical bills. You were talking about the electrical bills when nobody else talked about it,” Bannon said.
Bannon had asked Georges how she had such a solid understanding of what is going on with voters. She explained that she knocks on people’s doors and has conversations with them about housing costs and property taxes, which gives her an idea of what the average homeowner thinks about the situation.
“What are you doing that it gives you the ground truth that this is where this New Jersey race is gonna come down to?” Bannon asked.
“I knock on everybody’s door Steve. I knock on Republicans, Independents, Democrats, and particularly when I knock on the Democrat’s doors, the first thing I say to them is, have you checked your property tax bills?” Georges said.
“I’m a lifelong Democrat. I voted Democrat, but this year I am not voting Democrat. And when I hear that, it was a lightbulb went off saying you know, it’s all gonna come down to affordability,” Georges said of people she spoke with.
“In New Jersey, they have seen a 70 percent increase in this budget,” Georges explained that it could be contributing to high property taxes.
“It’s a dead heat in New Jersey across the board,” Bannon said.

Democrat Oregon Governor Tina Kotek Claims Portland is “Safe and Calm” While Begging Trump Not to Send Troops to Her Anarchist-Riddled Hellhole: “We Will be Prepared to Respond if We Have to”

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek flanked by state and local officials in Portland, delivering a defiant press conference rejecting President Trump’s plan to deploy federal troops to the city.
Oregon’s Democrat Governor Tina Kotek openly declared war on President Trump’s plan to restore order in Portland, telling the President of the United States to “stand down” and keep federal troops out of her state, even as Antifa terrorists and far-left agitators have spent years terrorizing the city.
At a press conference in downtown Portland, Kotek dismissed Trump’s announcement of a military deployment as an “abuse of power” and a “misuse of federal troops.”
Kotek insisted Oregon does not need national support, despite Portland’s well-documented history of firebombings, riots, and violent assaults carried out under the Antifa banner.
This comes after President Trump announced on Truth Social that he was deploying U.S. military forces to Portland to protect ICE facilities and safeguard the city from the violent mobs that have turned Oregon’s largest city into a war zone.
Trump’s decisive action, led by the newly appointed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, now rightfully dubbed the “Secretary of War,” aims to put an end to the radical left’s reign of terror once and for all.

The unhinged governor portrayed Portland as a thriving, peaceful city.
She even suggested that Trump’s warnings were nothing more than “outdated media coverage” and “misinformation.”
She called Trump’s plan an attempt to “stoke fear” and “create conflict,” claiming Oregon’s only real problems were the “cost of living” and housing affordability.
Just last week, radical anarchists reportedly firebombed the tour bus of rapper Ice Cube, apparently confusing it for an ICE deportation bus.
Tina Kotek:
In my conversations directly with President Trump and Secretary Noem, I have been abundantly clear with them that Portland and the State of Oregon believe in the rule of law, and we can manage our own local public safety needs. There is no insurrection. There is no threat to national security. There is no need for military troops in our major city. Military service members should be dedicated to real emergencies. The members of the Oregon National Guard—their mission is to stand up and protect Oregonians, and they will do that every day—but they are not needed in the city. They are not needed here.
You can tell because you're here with me in Portland. You can see that this city is safe and calm. It is a beautiful day to be here. For those of you who are here downtown or watching at home, you know that our city is not the place that people think it is from years ago.
There’s business thriving. People are coming downtown. They are enjoying this community. We have students who are ready to go see The Lion King tonight at the Keller Auditorium. People are going to the Timbers match. People are downtown shopping. Folks who are getting ready to go to work at the restaurants here that make the Rose City a culinary capital are preparing for their shifts.
People are shopping. People are going to the farmer’s markets or the Saturday Market. Portland is doing just fine. I made that very clear to the President this morning. Our city is a far cry from the war-ravaged community that he has posted about on social media. I conveyed that directly to him: we got this, we are good, we are doing fine.
I also said to him: we have to be careful not to respond to outdated media coverage or misinformation that’s out there. We know what’s happening in our own city, and we are doing just fine. That being said, we do face real challenges in Portland, as does the rest of the country. We’re worried about the cost of living. We want our schools to do what is necessary for our students, and we want to make sure that people have good jobs and homes they can afford.
I need help for those kinds of things—and that’s the help I need—not having military troops from the federal government in our state.
President Trump’s inconceivable insistence that we need federal troops in Portland does not address the real concerns in our communities. We do not need or want federal troops in Oregon stoking fear, creating conflict, and frankly, escalating a situation that is under control.
Any federal takeover with military troops in our state is a threat to communities across Oregon. It violates our right to govern ourselves. It interferes with local law enforcement’s ability to fulfill their mission. Frankly, it drains taxpayer resources that could be better spent elsewhere. Again, I communicated that to the President directly.
Oregon is our home. It is not a military target. Any deployment would be an abuse of power and a misuse of federal troops. People across the state and across the political spectrum here in Oregon are uniting together to peacefully oppose policies they do not agree with.
I believe in free speech and the ability to lawfully and peacefully protest. I have a message for Oregonians: let’s not take the bait. Let’s not respond to what the President is trying to do.
We have to raise our voices—absolutely peacefully—for the things that we believe in. But I also want to say that any property damage or violence of any kind will get us nowhere and will not be tolerated.
If you want to stand in opposition to the Trump administration, I would ask that you lean into supporting your community, helping people, making things better here—because that’s who we are as Oregonians.
I just want to wrap up by saying I believe the President does not have the authority to deploy federal troops on state soil. I’m coordinating with Attorney General Dan Rayfield to see if any response is necessary, and we will be prepared to respond if we have to.

New Jersey Democrats Want to Force DEI and Wellness Checks on Homeschooled Children

Democrats in New Jersey are being accused of trying to mandate DEI instruction for students who are homeschooled because parents want to escape the state’s mandated brainwashing.
In an article for The Daily Economy, Corey DeAngelis said that there is more than meets the eye to some proposed state legislation.
DeAngelis said Assembly Bill 5825, which purports to ensure “oversight of home education programs,” is actually “a power grab that threatens the very foundation of parental rights.”
“The parent or guardian shall submit a copy of the curriculum that will be utilized in the home education program, which shall be aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards,” the bill reads.
The catch, he noted, was that diversity, equity, and inclusion curriculum is as integral a part of state standards as reading, writing and arithmetic.
Assembly Bill 5796 calls for a child who is homeschooled to be inspected annually by an official of the school district in which that child’s family lives and undergo “a general health and wellness check.” The bill says the individual inspecting the child should be a counselor, social worker, or nurse.
DeAngelis said that putting parents under the thumb of the very educators they have sought to distance themselves from is an attempt to drag “homeschoolers into the same ideological quagmire they sought to avoid.”
“Parents who’ve chosen to educate children independently often do so to avoid the heavily political worldviews imposed in government classrooms. By effectively compelling homeschooling families to parrot political narratives on race, gender, and identity, such mandates confirm the odd ownership many Democrats feel over people’s kids,” he wrote.
Tethering homeschooling families to the schools they fled suggests New Jersey Democrats believe “government school administrators, not parents, hold ultimate authority over a child’s upbringing.”
“The Democrats are inserting the government as a wedge between children and their families,” DeAngelis wrote.
Will Estrada, senior counsel at the Homeschool Legal Defense Association, said to Reason that no states force homeschoolers to align with public school curriculum.
He noted that the curriculum imposed by a state is often the reason parents opt for homeschooling.
Estrada also said that “public schools are there to educate children enrolled in the public school, not to do health and wellness checks on children in the community at large.”

In her article on the New Jersey laws, Reason writer Sophia Mandt concluded: “There are a million reasons why parents would want to homeschool their children, none of which should need government approval. Rather than harassing parents who wish to have more of a say in what their children are taught, New Jersey lawmakers could better serve the public by looking for ways to increase educational freedom in the state.”
DeAngelis wrote that freedom is not what the laws are about.
“Authoritarian regimes have often sought total control over education, and history reminds us these moves are ominous. In 1938, the Nazi regime banned homeschooling to ensure all children were indoctrinated in state ideology. New Jersey’s bill follows a similar path, forcing families to conform or face penalties,” he wrote. “The real motive here is monopoly protection. The Democratic Party functions as a wholly owned subsidiary of the teachers unions, which view homeschooling as a direct competitor.”
“At its core, A5825 violates the First Amendment by compelling government speech. Homeschool parents would be forced to teach state-mandated DEI content, even if it contradicts their values or beliefs (and often causes harm),” he added.

Michelle Obama’s Ex-Chief of Staff Hired Illegal CRIMINAL to Run A School District

Des Moines Schools Superintendent Dr. Ian Roberts taken into ICE custody after fleeing agents.
In 2023, the Des Moines School Board appointed Ian Andre Roberts as Superintendent of Schools, handing him one of the most lucrative contracts in Iowa public education.
His base salary started at $270,000. That alone should raise eyebrows in a state where teachers regularly earn less than $50,000 a year.
But what makes this case even more alarming is the fact that Roberts was an illegal immigrant with a criminal record when he was hired.

Roberts entered the United States legally but overstayed his visa.
By May 2024, he had received a final deportation order, yet he remained in charge of the entire Des Moines Public School District.
Worse still, when the board voted to hire him, they were already aware that Roberts had faced a weapons charge in 2020.
Despite these red flags, the school board proceeded with the appointment, prioritizing political connections and appearances over community safety and integrity.
The arrangement was not only reckless—it was expensive. According to the Des Moines Register, Roberts’ contract went far beyond a six-figure base salary.
Taxpayers were also on the hook for a payment to a “tax-sheltered annuity” equal to 14% of his annual pay. That comes out to nearly $38,000 per year.
Illegal Alien Ian Roberts somehow became Superintendent of Des Moines schools with a $270,000 SALARY + BENEFITS.
The Board Chair who HIRED him was Michelle Obama’s former CHIEF OF STAFF.

Add in a $600 monthly car allowance and reimbursements for “all in-district related travel,” and Roberts’ total compensation package soared well above $300,000 annually.
The school board defended Roberts’ credentials, touting his academic background.
He claimed to hold a Doctorate in Urban Education Leadership from St. John’s University. Yet a quick look at St. John’s own website shows no such degree exists.
At best, the claim is misleading; at worst, it suggests Roberts embellished his resume while being considered for one of the most powerful education jobs in the state.
At the center of this scandal is Jackie Norris, the Board Chair who oversaw Roberts’ appointment.
Norris is no ordinary school official. She is a longtime Democrat who previously served as Chief of Staff to First Lady Michelle Obama.
Her resume includes time as CEO of Goodwill of Central Iowa and leadership roles at Points of Light, a global nonprofit.
Today she runs a consulting business, the Horizon Group.
With those political connections and a national profile, Norris’ influence helped pave the way for Roberts to secure the superintendent job despite glaring concerns.
This is more than just a bad hire. It exposes the extent to which political favoritism and negligence can jeopardize local schools.
At a time when public trust in institutions is already fragile, the Des Moines School Board’s decision to put an illegal immigrant with a weapons charge in charge of taxpayer dollars and children’s education is indefensible.
