Lil Yachty Says He ‘Manifested’ Working With Drake During an Acid Trip: ‘I Was Just Talking to the Abyss’

Lil Yachty manifested his working relationship with Drake.
Yachty and his Concrete Boys collective stopped by PlaqueBoyMax‘s stream recently and was asked by the popular streamer how his and Drake’s working relationship came about.
“I manifested it, bro,” he answered after he included the Toronto rapper on a list of some of the most talented people he’s worked with, alongside Tyler, The Creator and Juice WRLD. “I was doing acid one night and I was like, ‘Man, I would really love to work with Drake. That’s one of my favorite rappers.’ I was just talking to the abyss. I was speaking to, like, a higher power, and I manifested it. I did. This was years ago. This was before we ever did anything.”
He added that they followed each other on social media before becoming close friends and collaborators. “He followed me, we was cool. We was on Finsta together and it was cool. But, like, I wanted to have a relationship,” he admitted. “That’s one of my best friends. Manifestation is real. I manifested getting on, becoming famous, becoming a rapper. All this sh– is manifestation. You gotta speak this sh– into existence. I’ll never forget, I used to be in high school and Tyler and Rocky used to FaceTime me.”
Drake and the Atlanta rapper first linked up in 2020 for the latter’s song “Oprah’s Bank Account,” with Yachty contributing to both Her Loss and For All the Dogs as a featured artist, writer and producer.

‘Love Island USA’ Star JaNa Craig Loves Lizzo’s Lyric About Kenny Rodriguez Breakup: ‘LMK If You Need Me for That Music Video’

Lizzo recorded a breakup anthem for Love Island USA season 6 alum JaNa Craig, following her recent split with co-star Kenny Rodriguez — and Craig absolutely loves it.
The Grammy-winning star took to TikTok on Tuesday to share her two cents on the matter, singing, “Hol’ on, walk with me/ When it come to my people, I don’t play, I don’t play/ Like why would Kenny play like that with JaNa?/ Type sh–, know what I’m sayin’, know what I’m sayin’.”
The couple broke up last month after almost a year of dating. In a July 29-dated Instagram Story, Craig wrote, “Discovering someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.” She called him out as a “manipulative liar” in a later IG Story following his own public statement about their split, in which he wrote, “Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term.”
While catching up with TMZ outside LAX on Wednesday, Craig said she thought the tune was too good to be true. “It’s so cute because I’m getting so much love, and for it to be from Lizzo, you know what I mean? I know a lot of people are supporting me, but when it’s your favorite celebrity supporting you…,” she said before divulging her plans to go back to her hotel and make a TikTok about the song.
And she did just that, captioning the clip, “No cause @lizzo we need to knowww …. And lmk if you need me for that music video #Lizzoiloveyou.” The “Truth Hurts” singer doubled down on her support by commenting, “Always team NayNay.”

Quavo & NBA Star Trae Young Explore Each Other’s Crafts in First Episode of Billboard & The Players’ Tribune’s ‘Switching Stages’

Billboard and The Players’ Tribune teamed up to launch Switching Stages, a new video series that brings together celebrated athletes and world-renowned musicians to explore their shared connections. The first episode, sponsored by T-Mobile, premiered on Friday (Aug. 15) and features Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young and chart-topping Migos rapper Quavo. The two bonded over their mutual love for Atlanta and its vibrant culture.
The episode kicks off with Trae and Quavo facing off in a friendly yet competitive game of HORSE on the basketball court. Later, they head to the recording studio, where Quavo takes the lead in his element, guiding Trae through the process of recording a song.
“Music and sports have always shared a powerful connection—an energy that fuels artists and athletes alike to perform on the biggest stages,” said Hannah Karp, Editor-in-Chief of Billboard. “With Switching Stages, we’re pulling back the curtain and inviting fans to witness that magic in a totally new way.”
Jenna Klein, Global VP of Brand and Athlete Strategy at The Players’ Tribune, added her own statement about the “human side” of both of these industries. “The Players’ Tribune exists to showcase the human side of the world’s top athletes, offering fans an in-depth view of the person off-the-court and this partnership with Billboard is a perfect example of that concept in practice,” Klein said in a statement. “We are thrilled to bring together the world’s best players and musicians to give fans entertaining content that also provides a closer look at the connectivity between sport and music, educating both the interviewees and fans of the respective disciplines, along the way.”
The series will continue with additional episodes throughout the year, featuring more star-studded collaborations, including with Normani, two-time Olympian and Gold Medalist Jordan Chiles and more.

Oasis Teams Up With CASETiFY for a Reunion-Approved Collection of Phone Cases, Key Chains & More

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Billboard may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.
CASETiFY has dropped another banger of a music-themed collection, this time with reunited rockers Oasis.
This one’s for the music lovers. Ahead of Oasis’ reunion tour making its way overseas for the North American dates, the new collection is full of dark and graphic pieces, all with one mission in mind: to protect your tech while broadcasting your Oasis fandom. The full collection can be shopped on CASETiFY’s website now. You’ll want to get your hands on the launch before it’s gone, because it’s going fast. In general, CASETiFY is known for its customizable, fun designs and quality. The brand’s CEO, Peishen Wu, co-founded the company in Hong Kong with his friend Ziye Yang after noticing that the tech accessories market was simply oversaturated with “boring” models.
To fill that hole in the market, CASETiFY was born. The tech is not only whimsical, but durable too — especially the phone cases. Each case has to go through multiple drop tests to meet selling standards. What is it that makes these cases so successful? Qìtech of course. The material can withstand drops up to a whopping 9.8 feet. This Oasis collection is both cute and functional, speaking to fans both young and old with its whimsical design and durability.

CASETiFY Cassette of Oasis Case
A phone case made to look like a cassette tape.
Some of our favorite pieces include the phone cases. The collection features nine cases, some with lyrics, while others feature the band’s photos in a collage style fixed to the front. Every piece takes us back to our days spent sharing fan art and lyrics from our favorite artists. Moody and nostalgic, the Cassette of Oasis and Oasis Ticket cases are some of our favorites. The novelty design is something we haven’t seen out of a collaborative phone case before.
With each phone case, you can pick the desired durability. If you want stronger protection, we’d suggest you buy the Bounce Series. If you want something more lightweight and less bulky, the Clear Case is for you. Picking your desired strength will lower or raise the price of the overall case. Keep this in mind before adding to cart.

CASETiFY Oasis Utility Cross-body Lanyard
A lanyard you can attach to your phone case.
CASETiFY is getting Oasis fans ready for their reunion tour to arrive in North America with this Utility Cross-Body Lanyard. This pick retails for $46 and clips to any CASETiFY phone case, allowing you to go hands-free for your concert experience. Lightweight and easy to put on, the lanyard sits crossbody and can be adjusted to create your perfect fit.
We’d recommend pairing the lanyard with CASETiFY’s Pieces of Oasis Snappy Wallet for $42. The wallet attaches to the back of your phone case. You might be asking: How does it work? Well, the design is fitted with strong magnets that securely attach to the back of iPhones and MagSafe-compatible cases. No adhesive, just strong and durable magnets that can withstand just about anything. This and the lanyard will allow you to go completely bag-free during concerts. How cool is that?

CASETiFY Pieces of Oasis Keychain Tag

Another winning product in our book is the Pieces of Oasis Keychain Tag. The tag can be attached to your phone case, keys and bags. The accessory is attached to a metal keyring with a printed Oasis tag. The tag offers an easy way to accessorize to your heart’s content. The best part? It’s only $14. Additional accessorized goodies include the Oasis Logo Earbuds Case for $42.
This piece also comes attached to a key ring to clip to your phone, keys or bag, making for a hands-free music listening experience. The pill-shaped case features a bold Oasis logo fixed to the front. Like the CASETiFY phone cases, you can pick the durability of your earbud case upon purchasing. You have the option between a Bounce Case, an Impact Case and a Mirror Case. Pricing on these cases varies based on the chosen durability and design.

Finally, we have the Pieces of Oasis Laptop Sleeve for $46. The full collection includes three laptop sleeves with unique designs. Our favorite design is the collaged print on the front and back, giving the case a DIY look we absolutely love. The case is plush and zips up. You can choose between a 16-inch and a 13-inch case on CASETiFY’s website.
